“Fuel guage doesn't work correctly. Sometimes it show the right level and other times it shows empty or somewhere in between. Ran out of fuel the other day on the highway. I know there was a recall on this for 2006 -2008, but it says my VIN number doesn't have a recall for this.”

NHTSA complaint #11119539, filed 2018-08, 133,000 miles

“I bought the 2007 Nissan Frontier off a dealership as a used vehicle with no warranty. One week later the transmission started to slip, the following week the slippage was worse until it lost power and it left me stranded in a parking lot. I took it to my mechanic and he said that it's a possibility that the transmission computer had gone out and it would be close to $5,000 dollars to replace the transmission. The transmission fuse keeps blowing out once the truck is started. …”

NHTSA complaint #11389494, filed 2021-01, 168,000 miles

“After filling up with fuel on 10/1/2012 my gas gauge went to empty and the service engine soon light came on. Ever since the gauge would fluctuate up and down and the service engine light remains on. I see lots of post on-line about this faulty fuel sending unit on alot of different Nissan vehicle models and years. How come there hasn't been a recall for this part?”

NHTSA complaint #10487720, filed 2012-12, 39,871 miles

“Fuel gauge operating erratic showing empty when I fill up and the low fuel light coming on then after driving it shows a different reading. I don't know how much gas is in it at any time because gauge not working correctly”

NHTSA complaint #11096511, filed 2018-05, 125,000 miles

“Fuel gauge not working properly. I brought the truck to dealer and they determined it was due to faulty fuel level sensor sending unit. Cost: $511. This should be a recall since it is a safety issue in that I could run out of gas on the highway and possibly become involved in a collision.”

NHTSA complaint #10663129, filed 2014-12, 71,000 miles
