“I was at the post office on Redwood Road in South Jordan, in the dropoff mailbox lane. At the end of the lane is stop sign. The stop sign is for the traffic coming into and leaving the post office. I was sitting at the stop sign when I turned east towards Redwood Road, as I was pulling up behind a blue SUV, the Frontier lurched forward and the RPM’s rev’d all the way up and the truck shot forward. …”

“Door locks don't work. Had it serviced twice to try fixing the problem and the locks still don't work. I have to crawl in and out of the windows several times a day as this is my work truck. This is a very dangerous safety hazard should I get trapped inside.”

NHTSA complaint #11549867, filed 2023-10

“•What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? [Presumably an issue with electrical (alternator failure on 8/15/2024, then again on 9/3/2024, dead battery)] •How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? [On both dates described above, the vehicle lost complete power and was unable to be restarted. The loss of power occurred in very busy lanes of traffic, causing me (driver and sole occupant) to exit the vehicle and push it our of active lane of traffic. …”

NHTSA complaint #11616755, filed 2024-09

“Started truck with remote start. Truck stopped normally after a set time. After entering truck and restarting, the check engine light was indicated. Message to take truck for service. Dealer kept the truck for diagnosis. 28 codes were indicated and reset. Battery showed a low charge and was charged to proper voltage. Truck was returned with a list of all codes that were addressed. I have Low Jack on my truck and on Oct 08 2023 that I had low voltage of 11 indicated again. Will be visiting dealer for follow up.”

NHTSA complaint #11548967, filed 2023-10

“I purchased a pre-owned certified vehicle in June of 2025 it was a 2023 model with approximately 23k miles on it. In August of 2026 I was driving on the interstate and the vehicles warning lights came on and the vehicle shut down completely at a speed of 70 mph. The safety flashers quit working along with the headlights leaving the vehicle totally dark on a remote section of Interstate at night. I had the vehicle towed to a Nissan dealership and I was sent a video of what happened from the certified Nissan technician. I can provide the link to the video upon request. …”
