“Many problems with my 2007 Frontier. First my clutch went at about 65000 miles . Have been driving stick all my life and never needed a clutch. The rear axel leaked and created a bad squeal and damaged my brake pads. My low tire pressure sensors went bad and my heater core went at 60000 miles. I am also getting an electrical smell inside the cabin. Wow never had a vehicle have so much go wrong in less than 5 years. Nissan dealer and Nissan corporate both refused to accept responsibility of any defects.”

“I own a 2007 Nissan Frontier. The brakes were very soft making sudden stops difficult. There has not been an acident to date - only numerous near misses. I took the vehical back to the dealership with the problem, and was informed that brakes were fine and that was how brakes were supposed to be on that model.I was filing the complait to assit in collection of data for a potential recall or forced redesign of the braking system.”

NHTSA complaint #10191799, filed 2007-05, 500 miles

“On 01-13-2011 I was driving my 2007 Nissan Frontier pick up on pa sr 92s. Between nicholson and tunkhannock ABS and slip warning lights came on. I called my Nissan dealer immediately, explained the problem and difficulties I had handling the vehicle on the snow covered road. I was told that earliest appointment I could get was 01-20-2011. On my way back, when I drove on another snowy road I applied 4x4 system but it failed to engage. Now the ABS, slip and 4x4 did not work and I had hard times to make it safely home. …”

NHTSA complaint #10376571, filed 2011-01, 80,150 miles

“When parking '07 Nissan Frontier into a parking stall, I pressed on the brake pedal to come to a full stop. The engine then started to race and move the truck forward. I already had the brake pedal down to the floor with no response, the truck climb the parking curb and hit a sitgn and then a parked car. Couldn't believe that nothing could stop the truck till it hit the car and then the engine stopped racing. I had the insurance adjuster take alook at the truck and made him press the brakes where it went down to the floor. …”

NHTSA complaint #10207378, filed 2007-10, 2,691 miles

“When accelerator was pressed down there was an abnormal acceleration of vehicle while in slow traffic. It raced for a second then returned to normal. This has happened four times in the last 3 months. I checked to see if the floor mat had possibly caused this but the floor mat was under the gas peddle in the normal position.”
