“Driving home with family about 11:30 pm on hyway the sunroof exploded and glass went everywhere very unhappy about the situation because my kids could of been hurt very badly lucky I had visor closed by took me 2 hours to cleanup all the glass then when trying to get fixed I am being told the glass for sunroof is almost $800 very unhappy about it why can't this glass be laminated”
NHTSA complaint #11004189, filed 2017-07, 70,000 miles“While opening the door to get out of the vehicle the internal mechanism of the door handle stripped and broke, causing me to have to exit the vehicle on the passenger side. This took a week for Nissan to order the parts and get it fixed. This was a very dangerous situation for my family and I , as I could not exit the vehicle in case of an emergency.”
NHTSA complaint #10689806, filed 2015-02, 18,596 miles“This happened to me yesterday 09/07/2020 on my 2013 Nissan Pathfinder. I was driving about 45 miles an hour on a rural empty road when the sunroof made a pop sound and exploded. I looked in my rear view mirror and saw a large sheet of glass hit the road and disintegrate. When I opened the cover for the sunroof most of the glass was gone. The pieces around the frame that remained were shattered. Does anyone know how to join a class action lawsuit?”
NHTSA complaint #11353724, filed 2020-09, 145,000 miles“Since I purchased my Pathfinder, I have had numerous close calls in almost having an accident due to the mirrors and the side panels inside by the mirrors, I cannot see if another vehicle is coming or if I'm at a 4 way stop I can not see if there is a car on either side of me at the stop. It's very dangerous. I thought I was the only one having this issue, but I just saw a forum about it online. I just don't want to be in an accident and harm myself or anyone else.”
NHTSA complaint #11310045, filed 2020-02, 10,000 miles“While driving down a road, the hood flew up and hit the windshield. I could not see in front of me at all. The hood ripped through the fenders by the windshield. I was driving approx. 35 miles per hour at the time this happened.”
