2019 Nissan Pathfinder Body and structure Problems

“Traveling I-80 from york, ne to lincoln, ne. On june 3, 2019, 11:47 a.m. Approx. 2 miles west of hwy 15 exit, we hear a loud explosion and thought a tire or something hit our Pathfinder. Lucky no other vehicles were around us and the weather was hot with clear skys. I pulled into a divided portion of the interstate and inspected the car and found everything ok. Started down the road again and we heard pieces of something rolling off our roof. I inspected the rear sunroof, found it ok and then started pulling back the front cover of the sunroof and realized the glass has shattered. …”

“Our renter states that the vehicle was great up until the incident. States that they filled the vehicle up with gas around 4pm before parking it just out in front of where they were staying. At 1am they were awoken by a disturbance outside and someone banging on their door telling them they needed to come outside - when he arrived he noticed the vehicle completely engulfed in flames. The fire department arrived but it took almost an hour, per renter, to put out the flames as the vehicle kept leaking gasoline. …”

“I have found out there is a recall for pathfinder 13-16 models about the hood latch, and that the hood might fly open at certain speeds. I have a 2019 pathfinder and since day 1 of the owner ship i ha e noticed that on a highway at high speed the hood is catching allot of air where the hood is literally flattering so to say. At one point i have mentioned it to my local nissa dealer which they checked and said the latch looks ok. It is still doing the same thing till this day. …”

“2019 Nissan Pathfinder SV 4x4 was purchased April 30, 2022- I've noticed that the hood moves, vibrates, flutters almost aggrssively while drivng on local streets and the hwy. It's as if the hood was made of paper or flimsy material and wants to fly off it's hinges. At times I'm fixated on it, although my attention should be on the road and watching for other drivers. The hood makes me nervous as if an accident is inevitible. I haven't taken it to be checked as of yet, but something needs to be done about this if others are experiencing this exact issue.”
