Example complaints
Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.
“Two seatbelt locking mechanisms have failed to lock the seatbelt buckles in place; the third seatbelt locking meachanism failed to release the buckle. All located in the second row of my vehicle. The first two have been replaced by the dealer. The dealer was unable to replace the seatbelt locking mecanism on the third because we dropped and lost the buckle, this failure put my child in danger and we had to cut the seatbelt. We bought the vehicle brand new in 2023.”
NHTSA complaint #11724692, filed 2026-03“The driver's seat belt chime randomly goes off even when the seat belt is buckled. This has happened more than 15 times already. Every time I take it to the car dealer, they inspect it and cannot find what is wrong with it because it is not happening at the moment of my arrival. Today it started to chime at me again, and I decided to bring the car to the dealer without turning it off so that the code, if any, would be available. They checked it again and drove it around, but it did not go off, so there was nothing they could do to fix the problem. …”
