“Car has many problems with battery. The dealership stated the wires are coated with soy, which is a food source for rodents. I've had to get the wires replaced in the car but continue to have problems with the battery. I've had multiple times when the car is dead and needs a jump. The wiper fluid pump also recently stopped working. I'm not sure how the car has not been recalled yet, with coating food for animals how many more wires have been eaten. This car has been services by dealership 5 times in the last 4 months”
NHTSA complaint #11710390, filed 2026-01“Since I purchased the 2024 Nissan pathfinder in October 2023 I have had multiple issues with the glass windshield and visibility issues. The problem normally occurs when it rains and a white film comes on the windshield making it sometimes impossible to see while driving the vehicle. The problem gets worse at night if its raining because the glare from the light makes it impossible to see anything while driving. On two occasions while driving the car while raining especially at night I have almost ran off the road because the white film on the windshield was so blurry I couldn't see. …”
NHTSA complaint #11612997, filed 2024-09“The contact owns a 2024 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine made abnormal sounds, and the vehicle stalled. No warning light was illuminated. Additionally, the vehicle jerked backwards while shifting from park(P) to drive(D), and the windshield wipers remained stuck in the middle of the windshield for three minutes after activation. The contact stated that the battery was replaced after two months of purchasing the vehicle new. The vehicle was able to restart. …”
NHTSA complaint #11704311, filed 2025-12, 3,500 miles“While driving the car, the drivers side view mirror constantly shakes. The corporate mechanic advised he could not fix it. Nissan refusing to correct the issue. Almost involved in two accidents.”
NHTSA complaint #11634007, filed 2025-01“The defect involves the outside side mirrors and the reverse-tilt function. When the vehicle is shifted into Reverse, a mirror normally tilts downward as designed. However, after shifting back into Drive or Park, the mirror intermittently fails to return to its previously stored driving position. Sometimes it returns correctly, sometimes it returns only partway, and sometimes it does not return at all. When the failure occurs, the mirror remains pointed downward and significantly reduces rearward and adjacent-lane visibility until I manually readjust it. …”
