“I have maintained my car. In june, my Nissan dealership charged me $1500 after I reported a jolt in the transmission. I brought it back 08/10/2012 and they said the transmission needed replaced. I took it to another shop and they said the radiator fluid had leaked into the transmission and ruined the transmission presenting a financial burden and a huge safety issue. Updated 09/13/12”

NHTSA complaint #10470520, filed 2012-08, 107,000 miles

“While at a full stop at a red light, with no vehicles to my right, the rear right side passenger window in my 2007 Nissan Pathfinder suddenly exploded outward. There was a fist sized hole in the window, and entire window was shattered. All glass exited outward and remaining glass was visibly bowed in an outward direction. The dealer (universal city Nissan in los angeles) first claimed that they had never heard of such a failure before, then conceded that there had been a recall for 2004 Nissan maxiima's for sunroof exploding outward. …”

NHTSA complaint #10220429, filed 2008-03, 7,500 miles

“The front windows of the vehicle go down after you close the door with the beeper/ alarm. That happen several seconds after you close or open the car suddenly without any contact with the vehicle. It is very preoccupant because that happen some time without you notice it so if you are at a public parking your car is widely open.”

NHTSA complaint #10652784, filed 2014-11, 100,000 miles

“Takata recall my air bag lights continue to blink and do not go off brought in to dealer to get it check. The dealer states its not the sensor its its a circuit spiral cable decline. Nissan refuses to put my vehicle in the call back. I think its part of the takata air bag design and should be added to the call back.”

NHTSA complaint #10870579, filed 2016-05

“The contact owns a 2007 Nissan Pathfinder. The contact stated that a crack developed in the windshield without anything hitting the windshield. The dealer stated that a pebble hit the windshield. The contact called the insurance company and agent confirmed that nothing hit the windshield to cause the crack in the windshield. The insurance agent confirmed that there was a defect in the windshield. The contact took the vehicle to an independent glass repair shop and they also confirmed that there was a defect in the windshield. …”
