“While driving down the road I all of a sudden heard a loud smashing sound. The car seized up and the wheels locked. Thankfully I was not on the highway or I would have been killed!! The car was towed and the diagnoses indicated that the u joint had sheared off the drive shaft and pulled out the shifter cable. The entire drive shaft and shifter cable needed to replaced at a cost of 1400$. The car was only four years old and is regularly maintained. …”
NHTSA complaint #10614462, filed 2014-07, 70,000 miles“Straight out the lot 13 miles on it when I purchased it. About 6 months after I purchased my 2010 rouge, it started to make noises when I would go over a dip or a small bump on the road (30,000 miles or so). The noise sounds like something is loose. I took it in 2-3 times to Nissan they said they couldn't replicate the problem. It also started making a vibrating noise when I would be idling at a stop sign or traffic light. The vibrating sound I was told was due to the throttle being dirty. I had that cleaned and a few months later it stated doing again. …”
NHTSA complaint #10759545, filed 2015-08, 30,000 miles“After purchased used the light for the driver's seat belt would not go off. Finally got that fixed. Then had to replace front struts. No car will not accelerate from stop without pedal all the way down and it is delayed, same for in reverse.”
NHTSA complaint #11169954, filed 2019-01, 97,000 miles“Almost since I bought the car, I felt while driving that the motor was shaking and I took it to a mechanic that told me must be the axle, then I took it to the universal Nissan in orlando, and they told me that it was nothing, and that was normal in the CVT,motors. …”
NHTSA complaint #10795188, filed 2015-11“Takata recall my steering wheel locks up when I make turns. It decelerates by itself and it shifts too fast when I accelerate. The accelerator has gotten stuck once before.”
