“Vehicle in the shop for a major oil leak, 2 key fobs don't work, recall, leaking sunroof, and last but not least air bag light flashing. Quoted 3500 to replace seat/module, 350. For oil issue, 1400. Sunroof. I inherited this car in 2013 when my mother passed away and it only has 20000 miles on it. I could buy another newer used car at this rate!! This is rediculous for a vehicle with so low miles to have this many issues. At this rate I will never purchase or recommend Nissan again. Please advise. Thanks, deb”

NHTSA complaint #11096803, filed 2018-05, 20,000 miles

“I received a recall notice from Nissan : NHTSA recall 15v-032 the recall letter said on certain vehicles snow/water and salt carried onto the driver side floor area can seep into the carper near the harness connector area and eventually cause and electric short to occur. This short may lead to connector damage, possibly causing a fire. On thursday march 26 I took my vehicle to Nissan of garden city where they inspected my kick panel wire harness for damage. My vehicle was affected by this recall and fixed.”

NHTSA complaint #10702317, filed 2015-03, 33,000 miles

“Frontal impact caused airbags to deploy except the passenger front (no passenger) and the passenger rear side (passenger present) . Nissan claims no deployment of side airbag is because no direct t-bone impact on passenger side of vehicle was sensed. Nissan also claims that the driver side airbag did properly because it sensed a potential rollover situation. Nissan was moving on city street and hit (t-boned) a truck pulling a heavy loaded trailer that ran a red light. Rear passenger side airbag should have deployed!”

NHTSA complaint #11109813, filed 2018-07, 64,000 miles

“My son was driving at a highway speed of 55 out of Lawrence, KS. He noticed left headlight flickering and starting to smoke. He immediately pulled over and exited the vehicle. At that point, the whole front of the car was engulfed in flames. Very dangerous. I can provide pictures but for some reason the upload information won't allow me to do it here. Fire department had to put it out and was a total loss.”

NHTSA complaint #11563722, filed 2024-01
