“My Nissan Rogue 2012 began to make some noise and can't accelerate. I call Nissan dealer and tow the car to them. They said that the problem is the fuel injectors. The car still at dealer for repair. This can cause an accident, due to the fact that the car stopped suddenly.”

NHTSA complaint #10547691, filed 2013-10, 9,683 miles

“After an 1.5 hours on an interstate (non-stop driving) the vehicle begins to decelerate speed. With no light indicator or explanation. The accelerator gauge is going up and down really quickly, like the car is out of sync with the speed. No indicator light or anything turns on. I will be going at a speed of 75 or 80 and without warning, it decreases in speed. I can put the pedal to the floor and it still continues to slow down. There is no overheating fumes or smell at all. I have to pull over and wait until the engine cools down before returning onto the highway. …”

NHTSA complaint #11360701, filed 2020-09, 94,000 miles

“I reported a fire complaint back in the summer to you on this vehicle. Now my accelerator just suddenly quits working. I reported this to downtown nashville Nissan around june 2019. They said no code came up. It has since been happening more and more. Twice when I was trying to get on the interstate. Two weeks ago it happened five times in a row and wouldn't go over 30 MPH. When I would let completely off the accelerator and push it again it jumps like all of the energy busts through at once. I have since done research and this is a very common problem. …”

NHTSA complaint #11289088, filed 2019-12, 52,000 miles

“On november 10, 2016 I noticed that my 2012 Nissan Rogue gas gauge is off. Even with a full tank of gas, the gauge will read the tank as below the full level. At times it will show the tank as 3/4. Today (november 16, 16) my car was taken to the dealership it was purchased brand new to be seen for this problem. The service team informed me that no error codes were being thrown on their computer. I tried to explain that I know something is faulty with the fuel gauge. I fill the car up with gas and the gauge stays at 3/4 of a tank. …”

NHTSA complaint #10926469, filed 2016-11, 90,000 miles

“The only problem I have is regarding the fuel gauge reading incorrectly. For example a full tank will give me a range of 235 mpg, while it should be over 300 mpg. I have 2012 Nissan Rogue awd. 2nd test with the tank has 3/4 of a tank and the range was around 189 mpg. I went to Nissan dealer and tested same year and model with half of a tank and gave me 165 mpg. Dealer are aware of this issue and there is no recall on it. Quote for repair: $119. To diagnose. $420. For sender unit and sub-sender unit (vehicle is awd) and $263. For labor. …”
