“I got this car from my daughter in may. This problem started in june, stopped for a while & now in winter (january) it came back & is getting worse to the point I won't drive on freeway anymore. Decelerates at freeway speeds combined with jerking motion. Also does not always accelerate (dogs out) while pressing on gas from complete stop or trying to accelerate in slow traffic causing cars behind to slam on brakes.”
NHTSA complaint #11066870, filed 2018-02, 114,000 miles“Car loses power without warning, on highway going 80, all of sudden total lost of power on any incline. Dangerous to myself and others around me. Coming off highway hesitates , appears to not move at all. Eventually car is moving approx. 20 MPH, extremely dangerous for highway. Not specific to my vehicle only, on going problem with this vehicle, should have a recall.”
NHTSA complaint #10702074, filed 2015-03, 169,650 miles“My car's check engine soon signal came on and when I got it checked out I was told that I have a faulty fuel level sensor. After some research online it's apparent that this is a problem with the make and model. I would like to put in a complaint so that we could request recall action on this issue as it's a common issue happening to a lot of Nissan Rogue consumers.”
NHTSA complaint #10587945, filed 2014-05, 95,000 miles“The fuel sending unit does not work. I fill up the tank and it does not read full, and it is unreliable. I contacted Nissan north america and they told me the car is not subject to a recall or warranty extension so too bad. This is a 7 year old car! This shouldn't fail! Also, Nissan has issued recalls for the same part for the Nissan frontier and altima, both for the 2008 model year.”
NHTSA complaint #10733089, filed 2015-07, 90,000 miles“Gas guage started being inaccurate at 36,000 miles. I have read on-line that this is a known problem w nissans but to date the company does not seem to be doing anything responsible about it. Safety concern is running out of fuel in an area like a canyon road at night where there is no safe place to pull over and cell phone coverage is not available. I travel weekly in such an area for 45 miles at night. I can't trust whatever the guage shows now.”
