NHTSA complaint #10851249, filed 2016-03, 58,208 miles

“My family barely avoided a serious accident. While traveling from san antonio to austin, the driver's side front tire exploded (have some photos to show the damage). The vehicle is a 2008 Nissan Rogue, regular maintenance provided, and there was no construction on the road way. The tire exploded and has big holes on the walls on three separate locations. The following is the tire's information: 4x4 contact continental p225160r17 98h m+s 3ak4807 p225/60r17 98h m+s tubeless radial e7600l -10 do you have an email address I can send the photos to? Thank you”

NHTSA complaint #10268587, filed 2009-05, 11,300 miles

“The tire pressure light stays illuminated on the dashboard constantly even when tires are at the right pressure levels. Firestone in charlotte tested the TPMS and isolated that the device is not reading/communicating with the central electronics portal that identifies any tire issues. This has been on-going for a few years, it was sporadic to begin with but is now a constant issue as showing low tire pressure.”

NHTSA complaint #11081838, filed 2018-03, 110,000 miles

“On my 2008 Nissan Rogue my tire pressure light has been consistently coming on. I have taken my car back to the dealership on several occasions just for them to tell me the were no codes and that they just reset it. I called Nissan and they say the only documented occurrence is the last one from last week because it went tot he service department rather than the body shop (my car was in an accident early last year but the tire pressure is unrelated to that.) Nissan has advised me to take the Rogue in yet again to have a diagnostics done. …”

NHTSA complaint #10305737, filed 2010-02

“The contact owns a 2008 Nissan Rogue. While driving 30 MPH, the tire pressure and air bag warning lights illuminated. The failure recurred intermittently. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the ocs sensor and air pressure sensor failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 8,000.”
