“I have a 2005 Nissan Titan with 31,000 miles on it and it just failed a vehicle inspection, because the frame was rusted through in front of the rear wheels. I have owned the vehicle 10 years and 6 months and this seems very premature to have happen. Otherwise the body looks brand new.”

NHTSA complaint #10839814, filed 2016-03, 31,000 miles

“I bought a Nissan Titan [2005].new. I have 86,000 miles, out of warranty and the right rear seals has started to leak. Dealer want fix it as a factory defect, also the right tire sticks out more than the left. I need help proving it's totally factory problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10192173, filed 2007-05, 80,000 miles

“I have a 2005 Nissan Titan and it has a problem with the door handle cables freezing up. It makes it impossible to open the door and if the door is opened, it will not close securely. I was able to get into the truck but the door came open as I was driving. Luckily, I always wear my seat belt or it could have gotten very ugly. I took it into the dealership on jan 4, 2011 and was told they could replace the cables for about $400 per door since it was out of warranty. This is a serious safety issue and needs to be addressed immediately. …”

NHTSA complaint #10376433, filed 2011-01, 70,500 miles

“Prior to leaving for a trip I stoped by the dealership that I bought the truck from informed me that the exhaust was broken due to rust I was also told that there was no issue with driving it to nc from ct on the way back from nc the trailer lights failed and I started receiving slip ABS brake and 4wd lights on my dash. I return the truck to the dealership and was told that the exhaust had melted the wiring harness where it had broke/rusted. I spoke to another dealership and was told this was a common issue where the wiring harness would melt when the exhaust brakes/rusts... …”

NHTSA complaint #10476775, filed 2012-09, 50,000 miles

“I have a 2005 Nissan Titan p/u in which the door handle cables get frozen in the winter months. I feel that this is huge safety issue that Nissan has failed to address as a recall! I cannot get in or out of my vehicle except through the door windows when this happens. I have already had this vehicle in to my dealership on 2/15/08 to get repaired, but they had to order other parts that they said they didn't know that they needed. They didn't order them overnight and there was no sense of urgency on their part to rectify the problem! It still is not repaired.”
