“Nissan of irvine failed to put all six lug nuts back on my driver side rear tire after a tire rotation. As I was getting on the freeway less than a mile from the dealership I began to lose control of my truck and my wheel came off.”
NHTSA complaint #11331282, filed 2020-06, 40,202 miles“Traveling at 25-30 MPH on a dry, grass covered road, applied the brakes to slow down, no braking occurred; I then pushed on the brakes as hard as I could, I felt the ABS pulsating, began to hear a clunking sound and feel a clicking in my brake pedal matching the timing of the clunking sound. Since the brakes were not responding I then turned the wheel to the left attempting to turn the truck, it did not respond; I then turned the steering wheel to the right, no response. The truck continued straight into a tree, head on collision. …”
NHTSA complaint #11191681, filed 2019-03, 17,500 miles“Bought a 2017 Nissan Titan 4x4 truck it had 6 miles I drove it 2 miles off the lot all brakes locked and smoke was boiling all rotors were cherry red they were so hot truck is still at dealership they think its the master cylinder”
NHTSA complaint #10983659, filed 2017-05, 6 miles“There has been multitude of this issue if you search the titanxd forums. Same thing happens to everyone. ABS, traction control, and the 4wd warning flashes on the dash. After this happens, it changes the characteristics of how the truck drives. Rapid shift, high RPM shifts, which are extremely hard to control on the highway. Also mentioning the ABS brake not working. Nissan has been changing out transfer cases because of this. The vehicle is extremely dangerous cause of these issues. I hope this makes headway to Nissan Corporate.”
