“I was driving on the highway at 70 mph and for no reason the emergency brake activated and stopped the truck. I am very scared because it has happened so many times. I always drive with my child on board, I am afraid that this will end in a rollover or death. At the time of the incident the truck is already done all recalls and updates softwares”
NHTSA complaint #11607708, filed 2024-08“The parking brake has never been sufficient to prevent the vehicle from rolling slightly even after the vehicle has been placed in park. There is no audible alarm if you back up and the parking brake is set. The engine torque allows you to drive forward and reverse with ease even with the brake set, and a small dash light is the only indication that the brake is still set. When asking the dealership to adjust the brake and fix the issue they require the customer to pay for the service despite the brake being faulty from manufacture.”
