NHTSA complaint #11252854, filed 2019-09, 7,000 miles“The truck I have purchased on nov 24th, 2017 has the cummings diesel engine. The truck is known not to start in weather below 12 degrees f. Nissan techs tell me now (after the sale) that this engine needs an anti fuel gell addidative in order for the vehicle to start in cold weather. I feel I have been robbed of the $50,645 I spent on a new vehicle. This is not at all an acceptable answer to me. …”
NHTSA complaint #11062537, filed 2018-01, 2,600 miles“As I was driving on the road at red traffic light, when the light turned green, I started to move, the engine started to make loud noise and the engine shut off. This happened when the vehicle was at 56k miles. Later on, found out at dealer that the crank shaft was broken. The engine got replaced under warranty. It is not a guarantee that this does not happen again. There are lots of other same model truck had this happened. 2017 Titan xd 5.0 cummins diesel”

We heard a noise from the engine compartment and suddenly the power steering of the vehicle ceased to operate and the truck drifted across the double yellow lines of the highway. Luckily no cars were coming in the opposite direction and I steered hard to the right and slowed the vehicle down rapidly. …”
NHTSA complaint #11074262, filed 2018-02, 5,000 miles“To whom it may concern I was driving with slightly less than 1/4 tank of gas and stopped to park on a hill with vehicle on idle. While in idle on the hill the vehicle stalled out. I tried to restart but the engine just cranked with no start and a low pressure fuel system service light came on. I tried to push it down the hill on flat ground and tried to start again with just cranking no start. I then had to push the vehicle with the help of my neighbors into a guest stall and call for a tow. …”
