NHTSA complaint #11282818, filed 2019-11, 19,844 miles

“I filled up my gas tank and it did not register to full it stayed on empty and the gas light came on and the service engine light. I looked this up and seen that there has been a recall on this exact problem for this make year and model with the fuel sendor.”

NHTSA complaint #11196167, filed 2019-04, 72,000 miles

“For over a year we have had a check engine light on with code p0463, the fuel sender unit needs replaced. Our gas gauge never reads correctly and has said we have had gas when we do not. Sometimes it also reads empty right after I fill it up. After more research this is a highly common and expensive issue for Xterra owners. I believe that a recall should be issued for customers with this vey common problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10992498, filed 2017-05, 100,000 miles

“My coolant system has leaked into my transmission system causing malfunction of both. This causes my car to hesitate when accelerating and will eventually cause the transmission to give out completely while in motion.this appears to be a common problem that Nissan is aware of and has not adequately addressed.”

NHTSA complaint #10746856, filed 2015-08, 98,500 miles

“I have researched and found many other have had the same issue with the fuel sensor on 2007 Xterra. Last gen was recalled and they need to recall this year. I have ran out of gas twice already while driving down the highway. I am also having a loud wining noise coming from the engine due to a failed timing chain tensioner. Both these items need to be recalled before somebody gets killed.”
