“Over a short time the transmission kept trying to go in to 1st gear but would slip and go into 2nd gear. It has the right transmission fluid. The shift cable works but when I change to reverse or drive it won't go into gear and basically sits there in no gear. It goes into park but when I put it to drive it doesnt go into any gear and sits there as if it's in neutral”

I drove the car home and parked it in my driveway to try to troubleshoot the problem and when I put the car in park and shut it off, the car started rolling down hill in my driveway. I stopped the car from rolling and when I tried to start it, I found that it would not start. I then shifted the car into neutral and it was able to start. I was able to duplicate this problem by putting the car back in park. …”
