Example complaints

Exterior lighting: “My headlight on the right side stopped working after 6 years and I took it to the Porsche dealer to get it fixed and it turns out that it is a non-serviceable part and that it will need to be replaced as a pair and the bill is well over $7000. The dealership confirmed that it was the LED module that burned out and the whole headlight assembly will need to be replaced. This is of huge concern due to the fact that this is a major safety item for the car and that it should be a simple bulb change that should be serviceable. …”

NHTSA complaint #11720860, filed 2026-02

Electrical system: “The small portable air pump that came with the car would blow the fuse to the cigarette 12 v outlet on about every third or fourth use. This would happen each time after you put in a new 20amp fuse. I can't tell whether this is caused by the air pump or the circuitry on the car. I have gone through five fuses already.”

NHTSA complaint #11384174, filed 2020-12, 16,600 miles

Brakes: “The issue is the squeaking of the rear brakes when backing up. The would happen when the car had been driven. This happens in cold or hot weather. A factory dealership had look at the issue but found nothing. This problem started when the car was about two to three months old. I also have a 2020 audi q7, and it has almost the same issue when backing up. However, it does more in the morning whether the weather is hot or cold. We visited an audi dealership but they found nothing. A separate complaint had been filed under my name as well. Both cars have the same 3.0l v6 engine.”

NHTSA complaint #11384179, filed 2020-12, 3,500 miles

Other or unknown: “The vehicle speedometer shows a speed that exceed the actual speed by up to six percent. Porsche claims it is within the legal limit and they do not need to correct it.”
