“Without any warning my steering wheel locked up and started jerking resulting in lack of steering and drivability. I was backing out of my driveway and started to turn onto the street when this happened. This could have been very dangerous if I had been driving on regular roads. The van is currently parked on the street and available for inspection as I was able to gently maneuver it to a safe spot. This has been looked at by a mobile mechanic who put an OBD2 scanner on it and couldn't bring up any codes. It has not been taken to a shop at this point. …”

“From purchase the UConnect system has faulted out and have effected items like Navigation, etc but wasn't a real problem. On 7/18 I had my dealer perform recall # 66B/NHTSA 24V-436 On 7/20 the UConnect system began faulting out but this time it started Disabling the Automatic Emergency Braking while driving, Disabled the parking brake when it was set, Indicated that various lights were not working when they were. The dealership worked on it extensively with the Corp service system reflashing the system, etc and it worked Ok for about 100 miles when the above problems have all started again. …”

“The contact owns a 2023 RAM PROMASTER. The contact stated while driving the vehicle at an undisclosed speed, while changing lanes the steering wheel is trying to drive the vehicle into another lane and barriers at times without the Collison avoidance system activating. …”

NHTSA complaint #11736123, filed 2026-05, 43,518 miles

“The FCW function does not engage if you put the vehicle in gear to soon. You must wait at least 5 seconds after starting the engine before shifting into gear or else the FCW will not turn on. The dealer said there is no fix. I believe this is a software issue. This has been functioning this way since the vehicle was new.”

NHTSA complaint #11645825, filed 2025-03

“Water intrusion into the electric power steering rack/harness causing failure. The steering wheel was shaking violently and rendering the vehicle completely undrivable. Once the vehicle dried out, the symptoms went away.”
