“I have an airbag light going on my dashboard. I was told it was the (pps) passenger presence system module and would cost ~$1500 to replace. I have seen other people complain about this and why it isn't part of a recall. Can I get information if this will be subject of a recall? Thanks.”

NHTSA complaint #10994486, filed 2017-06, 90,000 miles

“The air bag warning light comes on intermittently when there is someone sitting in the passenger side front seat. The dealership informed me that the sensor has malfunctioned and I need to pay $1200 to replace it. At 3 years old and barely 50k the air bags not working on the passenger side is a big deal! There should be a recall for this.”

NHTSA complaint #10468344, filed 2012-07, 50,000 miles

NHTSA complaint #11120382, filed 2018-08, 169,000 miles

“For the last 2 weeks a service air bag message appears in the dic at start up. Also the air bag warning light appears in the dash. The message appears and disappears during travel. Some days the message does not appear. I've spoken to the dealer and they say there is no recall. I have seen in the news as of march 17, 2014 that there is a recall coming for what seems to be this exact problem. I have not received any notification as of april 30, 2014. Thank you.”

NHTSA complaint #10585646, filed 2014-04, 23,720 miles

“I am not involved in an accident. However, my seat belt (driver side) light has gone on and the dic states to check the air bags. I find the NHTSA has a recall on this problem, yet Saturn, and the dealership shows no recall. The number shown is 14v118000 which shows this vehicle. I do not wish to continue to drive this vehicle, yet can't afford an estimated $600 tab to have it fixed. Where do I go from here to find authorization to have this recall (yet not shown) fixed?”
