“My 2008 Saturn Outlook has under 100k miles and when I am at very slow speeds, trying to turn the wheel it loses all power steering and makes it almost impossible to turn the wheel. I cannot parallel park due to this issue nor can I do anything where I may have to make a sharp turn. This is an issue and needs to be recognized by GM”

NHTSA complaint #11111172, filed 2018-07, 98,500 miles

“I had just pulled out on a interstate highway, and the vehicle acted like it did not want to shift gears. The check engine light came on and I could not accelerate any faster than 40 MPH. I pulled off the side of the road and waited on a tow vehicle. The steering has been very stiff also in the last few months.”

NHTSA complaint #10556877, filed 2013-12, 82,548 miles

“While driving my car, I noticed the stabiltrak error message on the dash and a message to get my brakes serviced. I thought it would go away, but keep coming up. Took the car into the dealership and have to have the stabiltrak replaced. I have looked online and noticed that this is an issue with a lot of people. Seems like it should be looked into by GM. Can cause major problems with the car like turning over!”

NHTSA complaint #10549229, filed 2013-10, 94,000 miles

“Saturn 2008 Outlook steering issues. Loud thumping/clunking/grinding noise heard when making a turn. Had it at the dealer 3 times now, they can't duplicate the issues so nothing has been done to repair. When this happens the car skips when trying to turn, I never know when this is going to happen, but it is scary when it does. I am waiting for it not to make the turn and the result being an accident and injuries. …”

NHTSA complaint #10264063, filed 2009-04, 17,455 miles

“I bought this car in nov 2015 and by jan 2016 had lost my power steering twice. Each time the dealer had to replace a hose. It was fine for about a month before starting to become very loud again. At this point I went back and forth with him and he finally replaced the pump and I paid a deductible. It has been 3 weeks and I lost my power steering again. The steering wheel is very squeaky while turning at slow speeds. There is clearly an issue going on that is causing these hoses to keep blowing, I am also reading similar issues by people all over the web. …”
