Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“Heard clunking noise from front right of car while accelerating/decelerating, when braking and while driving over uneven road surfaces. Took vehicle to dealer, there they found #2 sub-frame bolt had rusted through and the head had fallen out onto my garage floor. Looks as if #2 sub-frame bolt takes on a lot of water condensation dripping from the A/C unit. Will replace all six sub-frame bolts once the back ordered parts come in, after drilling out the remainder of the #2 sub-frame bolt. #2 sub-frame bolt looks to hold together the right lower suspension arm to the body/sub-frame.”

NHTSA complaint #10432241, filed 2011-10, 44,075 miles
