“I had an overheating issue with the bike. The motorcycle had 800 miles on it. I was riding on the highway with the air temperature around 70 degree. The bike was running around 200 degrees. When I stopped for gas at the gas station the bike immediately overheated up to 250 degrees when I turned off the engine. An independent professional motorcycle repair shop repaired the bike after the failure and they found out that this series of bikes has a design failure at the thermostat housing. …”

NHTSA complaint #10162483, filed 2006-07, 800 miles

“My problem consists of a jerkish feeling from de-accelerate to acceleration. I was riding home from late dinner with some friends around midnight, was coming to a corner where I noticed water from near sprinklers, I then let off my gas to slow down to come into the turn, as I started to give it gas again, it sharply sped up causing me to low side from the corner. I was going no more then 15-20mph, as I was coming out from the corner approx. 30mph. I've had a few other Suzuki bikes, older years, never had this sort of problem. I've been riding for over 5-9years.”

NHTSA complaint #10330606, filed 2010-05, 4,800 miles

“Sudden on/off throttle can cause sudden deceleration and acceleration, making the vehicle very very unstable leading to loss of control. The problem seems to occur at 4,000-6,000 RPM and seems even worse at high engine temperatures. This is a dangerous problem and someone is going to get hurt!!!”

NHTSA complaint #10223409, filed 2008-04, 500 miles

“The bike will not travel a steady speed, it goes from hard engine braking to jerky acceleration. Very dangerous while cornering because you cant maintain the proper amount of throttle.”

NHTSA complaint #10242854, filed 2008-09, 8,000 miles

“I have had my motorcycle for awhile now and think this is an issues they need to become more aware about. The acceleration is very touchy and uncontrollable. While in a turn it could prove to be very dangerous and lead to loss of control and a crash.”
