“Between 4,000 and 7,000 rpms the throttle randomly opens and closes. When going around a corner this may happen at anytime and cause a crash. This tends to usually happen around high engine temperatures.”

NHTSA complaint #10224695, filed 2008-04, 400 miles

“I own a 2007 Suzuki GSX-R600. The motorcycle stalled while traveling at about 65 MPH without any warning. I had the motorcycle towed home. The mechanic stated the regulator could have caused the failure to occur. I was told there was only a recall related to 2008/2009 model vehicles. The failure and current mileage was 20,989.”

NHTSA complaint #10429272, filed 2011-10

“Abrupt on/off throttle can cause sudden and unexpected rapid deceleration and acceleration, destabilize the vehicle potentially leading to loss of control and a crash. The problem seems to occur at lower engine RPM's (4,000-6,000 RPM) and seems most prevalent at high engine temperatures (205+ degrees) and especially when the vehicle is turned on and started while at higher temperatures.”
