2011: “My headlights have gone out either one or sometimes both. Either low beam or day lights. All dealership does is replace the bulb but not fix the problem. This has happened more than a handful of times since 2012. This is frustrating and I hate this car. It sounds to me like an electrical issue but they can't find anything wrong with it.”
NHTSA complaint #10577737, filed 2014-04, 30,000 miles2012: “When accelerating onto the on-ramp of the highway, the car began to reduce in speed, and make a high pitched whining noise while the rpms increased, but the speed of the car continued to slow until it stopped. The check engine light came on, and I took it to my mechanic, who told me that the the transmission control module had failed. The mechanic was unable to fix it, and when trying to drive it home, the car continued to reduce in speed, and had to be towed back to my home.”
NHTSA complaint #11140846, filed 2018-10, 120,000 miles2010: “The car has low mileage. First the air conditioning system went out. We called Suzuki to see if there was a recall, they said no. We had to search for a part and finally had it replaced at great cost. Now a few months latter this happens. The passanger air bag light has been on for about 2 weeks. Called toyota dealer. He said it is probably just a bad msg, happens in hawaii all the time, so we continued driving it. While driving the car on jan 6, on the other side of the island of hawaii, as we turned left onto the main highway hear oceanview, all the dash lights came on. …”
