NHTSA complaint #10512962, filed 2013-05, 194,000 miles“2007 Suzuki SX4: naguabo, pr. Air bag light and front passenger sensing system indicators stay on. Took to dealer, computer reset done. Lasted only 4 days, air bag sys fault lights on again. Taken back to dealer, service dept said the front passenger seat air bag sensor was faulty. Mileage 54,442 not covered under warranty. Over $2,000 to fix issue. This must be a factory defect that somehow appears after your warranty expires. This is a safety issue.”

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where a diagnostic test located failure code: dtcb1312. The mechanic stated that the front passenger seat needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer and manufacturer were not called. The failure mileage was approximately 76,000.”
