“I have a yellow light and and red airbag light on I already toke to the dealer and it's still the same and now the engine started knocking and the dealer in our area move nowhere to be found what can I do or where can I take it to get check”

NHTSA complaint #10861617, filed 2016-04, 100,000 miles

“Passenger side air bag sensor indicates the module needs replaced. Cost to repair in the $1000's. Contacted Suzuki's customer service to utilize customer assistant program, they offered no help in paying for huge expense. It is my understanding that there are others Suzuki customers experiencing the same problem with the same result. My complaint is: t Suzuki is rated high in safety ratings and I wonder why the component is not covered by warranty, and how in good faith can they claim #1 safety ratings, when in fact if I were in an accident the passenger side air bags may or may not deploy? …”

NHTSA complaint #10400092, filed 2011-05, 58,000 miles

“The airbag light is consistently on and when I took it to the dealer I was informed that it's the passenger seat that is causing the light to be activated. Why should I have to pay the dealer approximately $2000.00 to replace the passenger seat after the warranty ran out? Suzuki should be held responsible if someone is hurt or possibly killed if there is an accident and the airbag isn't activated, because of a seat mat that they placed in the vehicle on the passenger side. It seems that other driver's of Suzuki SX4 cars have the same problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10944068, filed 2017-01

“We purchased a 2008 Suzuki sx 4 this past summer, I love my car and this is my first new vehicle. However, my complaint is: when I open the door, rain water hits the upholstery and it leaves spots, which this is very disheartening and displeasing to the eyes. I feel that we have given a lot of money for this vehicle and also trying to conserve gasoline. The only way to get rid of the spots is to shampoo the material. Which I have had to purchase a shampooer. And then when it rains again you are in the same boat of having to clean it ! …”

NHTSA complaint #10255964, filed 2009-01

“The contact owns a 2008 Suzuki SX4. The contact stated that when a passenger sat in the front passenger seat the air bag indicator light illuminated on the dashboard which means the air bag would not deploy in the event of a crash. The seat belt indicator light also illuminated on the dashboard. Both lights continued to illuminate and the vehicle was eventually taken to an authorized dealer, where the indicator lights were reset. …”
