“I have the Foundation Cyberbeast, the model which has an OEM light bar on windshield. While driving on 2-22-2026 at approximately 3:30 pm on the 5 freeway near Santa Ana, the appx 4 ft long light bar flew off and ricocheted violently on vehicle, while still attached by the power cord. This damaged many parts of my vehicle, specifically the glass roof, front windshield, and various body components which were shattered or scratched. I cut my hands. …”
NHTSA complaint #11719780, filed 2026-02“Contacted Tesla on June 25th for their June 19th recall (24V-456 and 24V-457) and they responded that my truck isn't (yet) on their list of recalled cars even though it's been 6 days since the voluntary recall happened. As Tesla has been the one to initiate the recall, I would have assumed my truck would instantly in the list. Appointments are booked out weeks in advance, and Tesla won't allow me to create an appointment now.”
NHTSA complaint #11596962, filed 2024-06“My vehicle's windshield wipers were completely inoperable for an extended period. I drove this vehicle across multiple states without functional windshield wipers — confirmed on a recorded Tesla corporate support call dated May 21, 2026. This is also covered under NHTSA Recall 24V456000 (Windshield Wiper Motor failure), which Tesla Pensacola failed to identify or perform. Tesla Council Bluffs, IA identified this recall as requiring urgent attention. Safety risk: Operating a vehicle at highway speed without functional windshield wipers in any precipitation is extremely dangerous. …”
NHTSA complaint #11740919, filed 2026-05“Today, I nearly ran someone over, and felt the need to send this feedback, as I never saw a person in my A-pillar blindspot. I was driving manually, making a left-hand turn, and never saw the man pictured below. He walked perfectly as to be obscured by my A-Pillar the entire time. I caught a flash of him sprinting out of the way in my driver’s side window as I nearly ran him over. (I am working on a road-capture mobile application that happened to be running on my phone in the center of my windshield at the time, resulting in this image. This mount was not obscuring my vision, nor that of FSD. …”
NHTSA complaint #11769901, filed 2026-10“I was driving in a rain storm and the wiper started to malfunction. Would only clean half the windshield. Then shut off completely. Made a weird noise and started smoking in the front.Started working for on wipe then did a 360 on front end of the car. Wiper blade flew off and wiper arm Would not stay in position. Was able To get home but had to get the car towed to Tesla.”
