“As I cruise on highway at 70 miles per hour, the hybrid traction battery starts to make mini rapid progressively loud explosions like the back of my rear seat is about to explode. To alleviate this I have to slow down to about 65 miles per hour. I have contacted Toyota and the dealerships but are unwilling to investigate the cause. This car is still under warranty.”
NHTSA complaint #11101125, filed 2018-06, 35,000 miles“No matter where I park rodents are finding ways to get into my car. I do not keep food in the car and I have done several different things to prevent them getting in. Including moving my car around to places other than my designated covered parking spot. My dealer has told me to piss off. As has Toyota, but it would appear that Toyota switched over to more environmentally friendly insulation materials in recent years. I purchased this 2012 Toyota camry brand new. …”
NHTSA complaint #10592353, filed 2014-05, 30,000 miles“I have a 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid. It has 105000 miles. It has a bad vibration in the front end when you accelerate. It has been to the mechanic, but no one acknowledges that anything is wrong with it. Toyota needs to acknowledge that there's a problem.”
