“The moon roof on my xsl constantly rattles while driving whenever the auto goes over a bump; especially an uneven bump that torque or twists the chassis”

NHTSA complaint #11097956, filed 2018-05, 30,000 miles

“Wife was driving on freeway in scottsdale when a small rock impacted lower left of windshield. Over the period of 2 hours a crack 3 feet long developed across drivers side of windshield. There are numerous reports of this happening on the internet for the Camry Hybrid since 2007. This appears to be manufacturers defect in engineering design or manufacture. Toyota is not addressing the issue, since they make a lot of money on the windshield replacement (>$1,200 for a windshield? Give me a break). …”

NHTSA complaint #10464535, filed 2012-07, 2,520 miles

“The master power window switch started smoking while I was driving down the road on 6/18/12. At the time, I wasn't aware of any issues with the power switches. So my family and I jumped out the car and called the fire department. They disconnected the battery and the car towed to Toyota. The power switch had burned up and some of the door panel was burned as well. Went back to get my car, and the battery went out as well. Today, 10/12/12, my car is still in the shop at Toyota. It has been a long, drawn out process, but I'll be glad when I receive my reimbursement and car. …”
