“I was in a car accident last year and I was sitting on the passenger seat and my husband was on the drivers seat along with my two children in the back seat. We were rear ended by high speed vehicle driving erratically. All of us suffered whip lash and back injuries in the accident. Also, the airbag never got deployed and the air bag sign is on the dash board. This is very dangerous life and death situation and I am upset for buying a brand new car which I hoped that all safety equipment will be working. I was shocked and hurt at the same time. …”

The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. In addition, the contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 15v285000 (air bags) and stated that the part needed for the repair was not available. The contact stated that the manufacturer exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000. Parts distribution disconnect.”
