“Driver rear coil spring broke. One end of it seems to have a chunk broken off. I have the coil spring. I had the dealer replace the spring so I do have repair invoice. I noticed the car sitting low on driver's rear corner while sitting in my garage. I have an identical model, a 2009 Prius, sitting next to this affected car, (a 2007 Prius). The garage floor is a flat concrete slab.”

The front right strut was broken shortly after we bought the car (55 days ago) and needed replacement. We replaced strut.”
NHTSA complaint #11005074, filed 2017-07, 94,000 miles“I pressed on the brakes in an emergency situation and there was a slight delay between when the brake pedal was depressed and when the brakes grabbed. I ended up striking the car in front of me. I have the license plate of the car I hit etched in my front bumper. 2007 Toyota Prius.”
NHTSA complaint #10305444, filed 2010-02, 29,000 miles“My 2007 Toyota Prius has the same problem the 2010 has. When I go over bumps the car loses traction on the road even when the road is dry. It is very scary.”

Car swerved to right into utility pole, removing right front wheel, wheel connections, fender, headlight. (car totaled by insurer.) steering wheel airbag activated. Driver (sole occupant) suffered fractures of right hand, wrist, 3 ribs and sternum, apparently due to impact of airbag. Driver was wearing belt/harness.”
