“I stopped at a gas station and was parked with the car on, and I reached under my front passenger seat (manual seat) and received a 20 amp shock from one of the wires under the seat. Resulting in my dislocating my shoulder from the muscle spasms. Taking it into dealership tomorrow morning but after talking with them they dont have any idea what could have caused it.”

NHTSA complaint #10970614, filed 2017-04, 90,500 miles

“When I get into the Sienna in a parking spot (stationery) and twist the key in the ignition the vehicle starts but the electronic steering does not work. This happens intermittantly. I have to sit there and let the vehicle run for awhile before the steering kicks in. The steering wheel is basically locked and difficult to turn. My greatest fear is that the steering wheel will lock up on me while I am driving and will not be able to steer.”

There was a time after driving I put the van in park and turned it off but my van was moving on it's own. I always call the dealership when the rebooting occurs. I was told either it was a software issue or since the problem went away, I should be fine. Well recently when my van stalled and had to be towed to the dealership. I was told it was a battery issue and the battery was replaced. …”
