NHTSA complaint #10000745, filed 2003-01, 25,600 miles

“It's dangerous to drive truck with low beams on. All light is focused 20-30' in front of truck. No scatter light goes beyond that. I've almost gone through intersections on dark roads. Joggers and schoolkids suddenly appear in front of the truck on dark mornings. High beams are fine. I think there will be a lot more accidents and pedestrian injuries with these headlights.”

“Date of 2nd failure: 03/01/2001. Mileage of 2nd failure: 9965. Turn signal failed to activate on both left and right turns within 5 minutes of initial morning startup. Driver attempted to activate a number of times for both left turn and right turn but the signals failed to illuminate.”
