“The contact owns a 2014 Toyota Tacoma equipped with Goodyear Tires, Tire Line: Wrangler, Tire Size: P235/75/R15, DOT Number: 1PJHLFNWR. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the passenger’s side rear tire exploded. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who informed the contact that the tire had dry rotted and were outdated. The tires were replacement tires. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.”

While the vehicle was parked, the contact noticed that all four tires were cracked inside the tread. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The tires were not replaced. The tire and vehicle failure mileage was 11,352.”
