“The contact owns a 2007 piaggio Vespa GTS 250 scooter. While driving approximately 35 MPH, the contact noticed smoke coming from under the seat and felt an increase of heat on both of his legs. The contact shut off the vehicle but was unable to restart. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic. The technician advised the contact that the electrical harness would have to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 3,000.”
