2000: “I have a 2000 Victory V92 with only 3000 */- miles on it pops out of 3rd gear ! Contacted the dealer and wanting to charge up to $4000. It seems to me and many others that this should of been a recall at no owner expense ! What is going to take for someone to do something about it ? I sure hope it don't take people getting killed before something is done about this major problem !!!!”

NHTSA complaint #10715477, filed 2015-05, 11,000 miles

2001: “Motorcycle is slipping out of gear and going into neutral and/or a lower gear. This ususally occurs while driving in traffic - does not happen everytime, very sporatic. Luckedly I have not lost control during an episode. I contacted dealership where motorcyclewas purchased - told my problem. Bike has less than 5,500 miles. I don't want to ride in fear of major damage or wreck.”
