“For the second time in 3 years, my rear windshield has completely shattered without warning. The car was parked in the driveway. When I got in, I heard a loud pop. I looked back and saw that the rear windshield had completely shattered. I had not yet started the car. The first time that it happened 3 years ago, I was sitting at a red light and it shattered. The kids were in the car the first time and got glass on them.”
NHTSA complaint #11189872, filed 2019-03, 290,000 miles“Window on driver side sometimes are inoperative. This can be because of wires inside the drivers side door are too short. Can be a problem if in an emergency my window must be rolled down. If I'm trapped, what happens if I can't roll down my window to get out! Also, ceiling headliner is coming down. Can no longer see through my rearview mirror! The headliner liner was cut too short so I can't fix it. Please help. Thank you so much.”
NHTSA complaint #10632918, filed 2014-09, 60,000 miles“The headliner is pulling away from the rear pillars. Being the primary driver of the vehicle I do not spend time in the back seat. My daughter is currently learning to drive so on a recent errand I was sitting in the back seat and looked up to see the headliner completely pulling away and coming down from the roof of the car and dome light. When I got back home, I did some internet research and found a multitude of websites, forums, etc. With people experiencing the same issue. …”
NHTSA complaint #10475719, filed 2012-09, 69,000 miles“So inside of my vehicle I am unable to open my trunk by flipping the trunk switch. My left passenger door is unable to function properly. The windows won't toll down, the door is unable to lock and it's stressful because my car got broken into because of it. My right mirror turn signal doesn't function any more when I signal right it signals really fast and it's only signals using my headlight and tail light signals. Sometimes there is a kick to my car when I'm driving and in a couple of occasion when I start my vehicle my car revs up on it's own. Just a bunch of issues it's stressful..”
NHTSA complaint #11152660, filed 2018-11, 121,000 miles“The windshield wipers failed after being stuck to the windshield. The motor did not have time to burn out as it was instantaneous when I accidentally hit the wand when starting the car. It seems as if the wipers seized immediately when experiencing the resistance from the ice. There was very little ice, in fact, I didn't even have to scrape the windshield. It is a safety concern as I was preparing to drive home during a snow storm. The mechanism should be able to withstand more resistance.”
