“My husband was driving on a small road and we were going about 25mph when he tapped the brakes the car jumped forward and the brakes did not catch. We lunged forward almost crashing into another car. No warning lights appeared. Driving conditions were normal, dry roads. Brought it into the dealership again for the same issue that we brought it in for less than 30 days ago.”
NHTSA complaint #11720244, filed 2026-02“I am reporting a safety defect in my 2024 Acura ZDX, which poses a serious risk. The vehicle, purchased on 11/15/2023, has been in the shop for 35 days and has only 1,300 miles. It experienced recurring electrical failures, including blown fuses, door chimes, and ambient light and window malfunctions. After several weeks of diagnosis, the dealer discovered that a wiring bundle running from the engine compartment to the cabin, routed behind the steering column, was shorting out. …”
NHTSA complaint #11636367, filed 2025-01“Upon pressing the on button the car would not go into drive or neutral from park. I noticed the red car light with an exclamation point staying on. After turning the car off/on it cleared and I was able to drive.”
NHTSA complaint #11636709, filed 2025-01“I am submitting this complaint regarding serious safety issues with my vehicle. After a recent 180-mile trip, the car initially functioned without issue during local driving. However, on the morning of February 16, 2025, I encountered multiple warning messages at startup, including Service Brake Assist, One Pedal Driving Unavailable, Use Brake for Stopping, and AUTO HOLD Unavailable. These warnings indicate potential braking system failures, which raise major concerns about the vehicle’s safety and reliability. …”
NHTSA complaint #11643151, filed 2025-02“My 2024 Acura ZDX A-Spec is impacted by the NHTSA Campaign Number 26V112000 (blank instrument panel/rearview camera). I took the vehicle to the dealership for the recall software update. The service invoice explicitly states: 'software update due performed software update on vehicle A11.' However, the update did not actually apply. The A11 module update is supposed to transition the infotainment system from Android 12 to Android 14 to resolve the safety issue. My vehicle is still stuck on Android 12, and Acura has incorrectly advised me that my trim does not get the update. …”
