“I am reporting a safety defect in my 2024 Acura ZDX, which poses a serious risk. The vehicle, purchased on 11/15/2023, has been in the shop for 35 days and has only 1,300 miles. It experienced recurring electrical failures, including blown fuses, door chimes, and ambient light and window malfunctions. After several weeks of diagnosis, the dealer discovered that a wiring bundle running from the engine compartment to the cabin, routed behind the steering column, was shorting out. …”
NHTSA complaint #11636367, filed 2025-01“I purchased the 2024 Acura ZDX, an EV SUV, three months ago with approximately 2000 miles. Both the front and entertainment displays (monitors) have ceased to function. Unfortunately, the user menu does not provide any guidance on repairing or resetting. I still could drive to my dealer to have it repaired with a black screen, which poses a safety concern. The ZDX was manufactured by GM under the GM platform. I conducted some research and found that this is not uncommon for all GM platform EVs, including Honda and Acura. I urge you to conduct further investigation. …”
NHTSA complaint #11632667, filed 2024-12“Was trying to unlock the vehicle but it wouldn’t unlock the doors with the remote. Had to crawl through the trunk to access the car. Got a “door latch system service” maintenance error on the screen after the dealership had “fixed” it. This is a huge safety concern as this car is electric and if it does not unlock from the inside, can cause the passengers to be stuck in the car.”
