“I have a recall on the heater devices, not quit sure what that is but it can cause my engine to overheat and catch fire. I've already replaced the coolant system because of over heating I'm very scared of driving the car. I would like to get it fixed a soon as possible, its nice car and I've put a lot of money in it already, trying to keep it on the road, its my work transportation.”

NHTSA complaint #11254039, filed 2019-09, 127,000 miles

“When I push the brake for a complete stop, it will stop but miliseconds after that I will get jumpy. It is a safety concern for someone that is not used to the vehicle, it feels like the car is about to hit another vehicle in front of it. It happens when there is a traffic light or when I am going to park my vehicle.”

NHTSA complaint #11151995, filed 2018-11, 135,000 miles

“Our vehicle is exactly the same as the 2007 model with the same inline six engine. The car caught fire while parked overnight in our garage due to electrical connections which remains active even though the car is not running. It had not been driven 12 hours prior to the fire. The car had less than 100,000 miles on it and had been seen by two Bmw dealerships the week prior to this happening.”

NHTSA complaint #11045743, filed 2017-11, 100,000 miles

“Cylinder head gasket is leaking oil due to faulty broken alluminum bolt. Three bolts on the forward right side of the engine is broken maybe due to engine stress. Oil is leaking to the exhaust and I'm afraid it will cause fire. I read in the furom with the same problem. Bmw should make a recall about this problem.”

NHTSA complaint #10929835, filed 2016-12, 87,000 miles

“Belt tensioner bolt broke off causing serpentine belt to slip off causing engine to fail. Car was being driven when car started to lose power and power steering stopped working. I have no documentation yet because car has just been diagnosed and is in repair shop now. I found online that this has happened to others as well.”
