2017: “Seat belts do not retract when removed. They must be manually pushed into the seat back. If I forget, or loan my car to someone there is a danger of the seat belt and/or seat belt clip being stuck in the door causing damage that may not be noticeable until the seat belt fails in an accident. I was told by the dealer that this is normal for this car.”
NHTSA complaint #11310121, filed 2020-02, 32,000 miles2018: “Car accelerates while braking on various occasions - so far I've had the car 4 months and it has done this without warning 5 times, luckily so far haven't hit anything. Brought it back to Bmw 2 times and they say they can find no problems. I am now driving an accident waiting to happen and there is nothing I can do.”
NHTSA complaint #11402856, filed 2021-03, 33,000 miles2019: “My sunroof exploded while driving. There were no other vehicles on the roadway. The explosion was violent and loud. Luckily the violent explosion didn't cause me to crash. Bits of glass are still stuck in my skin. I can feel the glass but I can't see it.”
