Example complaints

Selected from NHTSA records; personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

“The 2011 Bmw 7 series has a dangerous design flaw whereby the mechanical trunk closing motor does not reverse or stop if there is an obstruction, but rather it just crunches down, which broke my rear windshield and cost $2,700 to replace. Much cheaper cars like toyota minivans, etc have a safety feature whereby the trunk closer reverses. Why does my $110,000 car not have this safety feature? Why does Bmw not want to admit this problem, or pay to replace my windshield? This is dangerous as a person's arm could get crushed as a result.”
