Example complaints

One per model year, chosen for length and detail. Personal details are removed. They are consumer reports, not findings.

2006: “My vehicle has this white smoke coming out of the exhaust after it sits for like a few minutes. Smoke does not come out when I'm driving only when I sit. So if I'm at a red light long enough it will smoke. This just start happening out of nowhere and after looking it up everybody who has these cars almost have the same issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11355104, filed 2020-09, 125,370 miles

2009: “On a day-to-day basis my car would drive probly 80 miles in the city and when I'm on the highway the transmission will start slipping while going 65 miles an hour and almost come to a dead stop on the highway along with that the battery also draining all the time while driving and I have to charge the battery all the time.”

NHTSA complaint #11322471, filed 2020-04, 150,310 miles

2008: “I was driving and out of nowhere, my car started to slow down, and I received an warning light on my dash telling me I was having a transmission failure and drive moderately . I only have 88,900 miles on the car. This seems to be a manufacturing issue on 750 series models from 2005-2008. There should be a recall for this, as it's costly and very dangerous to drive with.”

NHTSA complaint #11105101, filed 2018-07, 88,900 miles
