“The contact owns a 2023 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted to 3rd gear and the vehicle decelerated. The contact stated that the vehicle went into LIMP Mode. Additionally, the computer system took control of the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while driving in the center lane on a busy highway. The vehicle was driven to a safe location. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and was diagnosed with transmission failure. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. …”
NHTSA complaint #11761869, filed 2026-09, 30,000 miles“The transmission hesitates and momentarily loses propulsion when accelerating out a low speed right hand turn, creating a risk of a rear - end collision. It also shudders at low speeds when accelerating up hill, or when passing vehicles on the highway. After the transmission has reached operating temperature and has been driven for a while, it starts to shift harsh and erratically in the lower gears, at lower speeds. There is a service bulletin out for this issue on my vehicle and the first step of the bulletin was performed and has failed. …”
