“Bought this car and after buying it, I heard a vibration. First I thought it was the road and then thought it was the tires. I started checking around for tires when it became very noisy so I called the dealer. He first said it was the power train fluid needed changed but later called and said it was the torque converter. This car has less tha 40,000 miles.”

NHTSA complaint #11387518, filed 2021-01, 36,700 miles

“There is a recall for the rear differential. I, along with several other owners have been waiting on parts for several months. Gm does not seem to be taking this seriously. We are also being provided with loaner cars car but it was not one I could accept and as such, risk injury every tube we drive.”

NHTSA complaint #11352790, filed 2020-09, 55,000 miles

“Heard a whining noise coming from the back of my vehicle when stepping on the accelorator, took my vehicle in to get a inspection and turns out the roll pins in the rear-axle differential are close to fracturing, increasing the risk of a crash. There is already a recall in this reguard to 2014-15 Cadillac CTS (v-sport) models but no other CTS models get the recall. I have a 2014 Cadillac CTS (luxury) sedan, hoping there will be a recall for all CTS models in regards to the huge safety issue.”

NHTSA complaint #11407387, filed 2021-04, 83,000 miles

“I am writing this because I have a complaint. I have never been notified that this car has a recall with the differential. Not from the dealer nor GM. I have read that cars have locked up at high speed resulting in near crashes.I am also reading that there is no fix for this yet. There are cars sitting at Cadillac dealers for months with nothing done yet. This concerns me this could happen to me and my car. The real problem is I have not been notified and I bought this car as a cpo from valenti Cadillac in hartford ct. …”

NHTSA complaint #11306898, filed 2020-02, 37,000 miles

“I was driving down a 4 lane road going 45 MPH - when without warning a loud bang came from the back of the car and the wheels locked up and I went into an uncontrolled spin for ~ 75 yards going sideways down the road at 45...and then came to a stop in the middle of oncoming traffic - the roads were wet as well...I fortunately did not spin into oncoming traffic. I avoided traffic behind me - I was driving with 2 passengers who hopped out of the car to warn drivers approaching we were disabled in the middle of oncoming traffic. …”
