“At 9:00 pm et on 20-nov-2012 I was driving 20 minutes to my home from my in-laws at ~30 MPH in monroe, ohio when my airbags malfunctioned. The car was towed to camargo Cadillac's body shop for repairs the morning of 21-nov-2012. Both a specialist from state farm (my insurance) and the inspector hired by GM declared that the airbags malfunctioned. Gm?s representative inspected the vehicle on 03-dec-2012 and the report was received at GM on 12-dec-2012. It was not until 19-dec-2012 that GM approved paying for the repairs. …”
NHTSA complaint #10621011, filed 2014-08, 76,000 miles“The contact owns a 2009 Cadillac SRX. When the vehicle was started, the service air bag indicator consistently illuminated. The failure recurred each time the vehicle was started. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that the VIN was not included in any recalls. The approximate failure mileage was 98,000.”
