2024 Cadillac XT4 Fuel system Problems

“This is my second Cadillac XT 4 in two years and both have experienced the same thing. As I'm driving and come to a light to stop, the entire vehicle system goes black and cuts off. This has happened to me know 4 times, were the vehicle becomes disable in the middle of the road, during heavy traffic and almost hit several times from the rear. Each time I was in tears, thinking I was going to die and would call OnStar for assistance. The vehicle would not start, keep making this clicking sounds as if it's trying. …”

“I was driving down the road and my vehicle lost power and quit running. Luckily I was in the lane closest to the shoulder and was able to pull over on the shoulder and was not able to restart my vehicle, but had this happened in another location this could have been a huge safety problem for me and others with the vehicle completely losing power while driving in the middle of traffic on highway 27. The vehicle is still under warranty and has 10k miles. I am the only owner of the vehicle and it has only been serviced at the Cadillac dealer. …”

“Had three different incidents: 1st occurrence was at a red light and vehicle stalled and would not restart. Jumped the vehicle and went on my way. 2nd time was traveling at 40 mph and engine killed. Jumped it again and it started. 3rd time vehicle was parked and would not start. Had it towed to dealership. They determined it was a bad fuel pump power module. This is a dangerous reoccurring issue with the Cadillac XT4 which demands a recall!”

“Problem with the fuel pump control module. Car broke down in front of my neighbor’s house. Now there is a problem with the transmission. It is slipping and there’s a clunking noise.”

“Car suddenly stopped while driving and would not start and stalled. Tried to restart multiple times with failed to restart. Car cranked but did not start after multiple attempts. There were no warning signs or indication before stall. Luckily, incident happened in parking lot way out from it. Traffic behind had to steer to other lane to maneuver. Stalling on public road or freeway could’ve been a safety concern for occupants and others. Dealer diagnosed the issue as faulty fuel pump driver module and replaced the part. Issued was fixed under vehicle manufacturer warranty.”
